Private label power wheelchair project brief

The model, artwork, packaging, sample and documentation questions that help structure a power wheelchair OEM conversation.

Product and market requirements

Begin a private label brief with your intended market, sales channel and shortlisted models. Explain which existing configuration you expect to use and which details you want to change.

Logo placement, colors, packaging and component changes are reviewed individually. Customization availability is confirmed for each model and project.

Artwork and documentation

Share the artwork you want evaluated, together with its intended location and size. If you have packaging or manual requirements, identify the language, product identifiers and destination requirements.

For an initial inquiry, a PDF or a supported image can communicate the brief. Avoid uploading customer records, health information or unrelated confidential material. Detailed production files can be coordinated after the requirements are understood.

Sample approval criteria

Agree what a sample represents: an existing configuration, a proposed finish, a branding proof or a combination. Ask for confirmation of price, timing and the documents supplied with it.

Record the criteria for acceptance. Product configuration, appearance, labeling, packing and documentation may be reviewed by different people on your team, so identify who approves each part.

Pre-production change control

Changes between sample review and production should be captured in a revised specification. Confirm any implications for lead time, minimum quantities and product documents before approving the order.

The inquiry itself is not a manufacturing agreement. Development scope, ownership arrangements, warranty and commercial terms must be confirmed separately with the supplier. A clear brief makes that discussion easier and reduces avoidable ambiguity.

This guide supports business procurement. Individual clinical suitability and destination-market requirements need separate review.
